Derby County Football Club is based in Derbyshire, England. The club was founded in 1884 by William Morley.

Derby County is one of only ten clubs to have competed in every season of the English football league system and twice won the First Division.

They also competed in major European competitions on four separate occasions in the 1970s.

The club currently competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football.

Derby, nicknamed “the Rams”, are currently managed by Chelsea legend and former England international Frank Lampard, who was appointed in the summer of 2018.

Kevin Hector holds the record for Derby County appearances in all competitions, appearing 589 times, while the club’s all-time leading goalscorer is Steve Bloomer, often referred to as “Football’s First Superstar”
