Why this Bournemouth star would add real quality to this refreshed Man United side under Solskjaer

Why signing Josh King could be a positive move for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

All of the success that Bournemouth have enjoyed this season has to be credited to Eddie Howe for bringing this extremely talented group of players together. The sheer fact that he was able to identify all these different talents is impeccable.

Callum Wilson is enjoying a wonderful season in the Premier League this term with 8 goals under his belt already. But all the credit can’t be given to Wilson as players like Ryan Fraser, David Brooks and Adam Smith have all been instrumental in Bournemouth currently occupying 12th position just 6 points behind giants Manchester United in 6th place.

Another such player who has been sublime for the Cherries is Norwegian International forward Joshua King. Currently 26 years old, King has already scored 5 goals in the 15 games that he has featured in.

He has also claimed 2 assists to his name so far this term and even averages at least 2 shots per game – usually on target. He is a tall attacker who tends to win most of the aerial duels he attempts. He is also rather adept at scoring headers as well.

Extremely dangerous in and around the box, he is a big lad who is mobile and does get around. He loves the occasional dribble and though he tends to be careless and loses the ball to the opposition at times, he does put in the effort to try and win it back.

He is also a player who is fouled a lot because of his trickery and quick feet, which often causes his tacklers to mistime their challenges. He is an intelligent forward who tends to make the perfect runs into space and knows where the runners are if he’s the one who picks the ball up on the flank.

Romelu Lukaku has been the first-choice striker at Manchester United for a couple of seasons now and so far, it hasn’t really worked out for him. It could’ve just been the Jose effect but that’s something for which only time will give us the answer.

Josh King could be the perfect super-sub to have when your first-choice striker is the kind of player who isn’t going to get it right for the whole night when the flow is not right. Josh King is an absolute game-changer.

Whether it’s coming off the bench to replace an out of touch Lukaku or starting games by replacing an out of from Lukaku, Josh King to United sounds like a tantalizing prospect for both parties.
