‘Wenger Out Banner’ Caused A Brawl Among Arsenal Fans

Share

A group of Arsenal traveling fans came up with a banner that caused a stir among Wenger supporters during their fourth-round FA cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The controversial anti-Wenger banner read, “Arsene, thanks for the memories but it’s time to say goodbye.”

The banner sparked a row between the Wenger supporters and the banner guy. The man who unraveled the banner at 80th min of the game, got some fury punches from the fans nearby. It required Police intervention to stop the brawl and eventually the banner guy was forced to leave the stadium to prevent further fights.

The remaining Arsenal fans chanted ‘One Arsene Wenger’, showing their support to their under-pressure manager. The Gunners went on to win the cup tie 3-2 with Theo Walcott scoring the crucial winner. Arsenal face Blackburn in the next round of the FA Cup.
