According to a report in the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign legendary footballer, Dani Alves. The Brazilian international is fresh after a Copa America title and doesn’t have a club currently after departing Paris Saint-Germain after having served his contract.
Spurs have finally completed some transfer business after securing the signatures of French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and English youngster Jack Clarke from Leeds United. However, Clarke will be heading back to Leeds on loan to continue his development under Marcelo Bielsa. Spurs are making all the right noises heading into the transfer window.
They will now be hoping that they can get one year from the Brazilian international. Kieran Trippier has been linked with an exit all summer and if that’s to happen, they’ll only be left with Kyle Walker-Peters. Walker-Peters has a bright future ahead of him but is far from ready to start for the first-team.
Dani Alves is one of the most decorated players to have ever played the game and will allow a shift in mentality for Spurs. This Spurs side has played alongside one another for a long time now and are yet to win any silverware for all their efforts.
They came extremely close to winning the biggest prize of them all in the UEFA Champions League after a fascinating run to the finals but didn’t do enough to go past the finish line.
They’ll have to reinforce areas in the squad like Liverpool had to do last season to better last season’s feat. Which is why getting Ndombele and Dani Alves in the same window will definitely help the team go up a level.
Mauricio Pochettino is one of the best managers in the world and should have no trouble involving someone like Dani Alves into the squad and using his experience as a factor to push the squad to greater heights next season. Spurs were in a title race for a while but lost steam towards the end of the season and almost lost their top-4 spot at one point in time.

Spurs should be looking to challenge for the Premier League next season and adding Dani Alves will boost their chances massively. They should also be seriously contending for the Champions League titles and the Brazilian knows all about what it takes to win that title.
