A total of 196 million Euros was spent to acquire the services of Angel Di Maria, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao. While the other players joined the team on a permanent deal, Colombian striker Radamel Falcao joined the Premier League giants on the transfer deadline on a loan deal which will be converted into a permanent move the succeeding season if the club agrees.

The much-hyped move of Radamel Falcao was greeted with mixed emotions at the club as few people were skeptical about Falcao’s presence as he joined after a prolonged injury period. The doubt rose further after Falcao got injured yet again after three or four games. Till now the Colombian has managed to score 3 goals in 7 Premier League appearances.
