Tottenham Player Ratings vs West Ham: Here’s how the Lilywhites fared

Tottenham Hotspur came away with a hard fought 1-0 victory against West Ham United in the league as they move up to 3rd place for now. Mauricio Pochettino’s men were tested on many occasions but held their nerve to ultimately win all the three points.

Erik Lamela continued his fine form this season with another goal, courtesy of an assist from Moussa Sissoko. West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic came close on many occasions but failed to find the back of the net.

Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings

Hugo Lloris (7/10)

An improved performance from the Frenchman who hasn’t been at his best in recent weeks. Lloris made a couple of fine saves against Arnautovic.

Kieran Trippier (7/10)

Trippier was defensively very good but failed to provide much going forward. His crosses were all well dealt with by the defenders.

Davinson Sanchez (6/10)

The Colombian was given a hard time by Marko Arnautovic on many occasions but ultimately came good in the end.

Toby Alderweireld (7/10)

The Belgian was solid at the back and barely put a foot wrong. He also made a number of important headed clearances.

Toby Alderweireld

Ben Davies (6/10)

Davies was unable to offer much and was often caught high up the field.

Moussa Sissoko (5/10)

Despite the assist, Sissoko was poor in this game and often gave away the ball on many occasions.

Eric Dier (6/10)

Dier was defensively fruitful but his passing was slightly off the pace and he often slowed down the counter.

Harry Winks (7/10)

Winks twisted and turned in the middle of the park and held onto the ball well. His distribution in the midfield was very good as well.

Erik Lamela (8/10)

Another superb performance from the Argentinian who really is making an impact for Spurs this season. Lamela created a number of opportunities and scored the only goal of the game.

Lucas Moura (6/10)

Moura threatened with his pace on the ball but was easily taken down by defenders. The Brazilian’s form has dipped after a good start to the season.

Lucas Moura

Harry Kane (7/10)

Kane did well to link up in the final third but the England captain didn’t seem to have his scoring boots on. Kane was easily dealt with by the defenders.

Substitutes

Mousa Dembele (6/10)

Dembele came on and used his physique to ensure Spurs saw out the game. He defended well in the middle of the park.

Fernando Llorente (5/10)

Llorente didn’t have much time to impact the game but did well to hold the ball high up the field.
