Star Returns, Sissoko To Start – Projected 3-4-2-1 Tottenham Hotspur Line-Up To Face Hull City

Predicted Tottenham Lineup To Face Hull City

Tottenham Hotspur will take on relegated Hull City in their final encounter of the Premier League season, at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday.

The North Londoners have sealed a second-placed finish in the league this season – the first time since 1963 and come into the game on hot form, after thrashing last year’s champions Leicester City 6-1 at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night. While there might not be a lot left to play for, Tottenham will want to finish the season strongly with a win against the Tigers.

Team News

Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier might miss out due to an ankle problem and concussion respectively. Danny Rose has gone under the knife and will not be available, along with Harry Winks and Erik Lamela.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Made a poor mistake against the Foxes on Thursday, will want to finish strongly with a clean sheet on Sunday.

Eric Dier (CB)

A lot of speculations surrounding his future at the club, amid interest from Manchester United. Will this be his last game for Tottenham? Probably not.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Shows with each match why he is regarded as the best centre-half in the division. Expect another comfortable outing for the Belgian.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Has been equally solid and reliable as his compatriot alongside him throughout the season. Will want to end the season on the same note.

Moussa Sissoko (RM)

With both Walker and Trippier likely to miss out, Pochettino may have to stick with the much-maligned Sissoko on the right-flank despite his struggles against Leicester.

Victor Wanyama (CM)

The midfield powerhouse is a permanent fixture in the line-up when fit. Will start definitely on Sunday.

Mousa Dembele (CM)

Played with a foot problem on Thursday night and Pochettino will require him to do so once again on Sunday against Hull.

Ben Davies (LM)

The Welshman will start once again at left-back and another strong performance may well see him start as the first-choice next season.

Christian Eriksen (RAM)

The Danish international was rested for the midweek game but may make a return to the fold at the KCOM Arena, with Dele Alli making way for him.

Heung-Min Son (LAM)

After a stellar display on Thursday night with two goals and an assist, it is unlikely that Pochettino will bench him.

Harry Kane (ST)

Overturned a two-goal gap between himself and Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Golden Boot and went two ahead of the Evertonian. After a four-goal display against Leicester, don’t rule out another goal glut for the Englishman.
