According to a report from the Express, Italian Champions Juventus are set to offer Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro as a part of a deal which would see Paul Pogba return to Turin in the summer.
Dybala and Sandro have been of interest to Manchester United according to the report and based on Pogba’s performances in the business end of the season, it would make a lot of sense for the Red Devils to consider the offer.
Pogba has also attracted interest from Real Madrid with their manager Zinedine Zidane reportedly a huge fan. However, with Juventus’ offer being as good as it is, Manchester United should have no hesitation in going through with the deal in the summer.
United have failed to make it into the Champions League after a catastrophic end to the Premier League season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will potentially find it hard to attract the top players due to their place in the Europa League which will make it difficult for the United boss to fulfil the massive expectations.
If United can manage to convince either Dybala or Sandro to make the switch as a part of the Pogba deal, they will strike gold. Alex Sandro, more so than Dybala would be of massive help for the Red Devils next season considering that Luke Shaw is their only natural left-back.
Shaw has returned to his best after the heart-breaking injury he suffered last season. The former Southampton man was voted as the player of the year by United fans which is a huge honour after everything he has been through.
However, Shaw has at times been caught out of position due to his tendency to get higher up the pitch. This has left United’s left-side massively exposed and has cost them needless goals on multiple occasions.
Sandro would be a perfect addition to United’s squad and his experience will be of massive help to Shaw. The duo’s competition will certainly be fierce which will bring the best out of both of them and United will have the joy of having two top-class left-backs next season.
