The interim manager’s stance was unclear before the Scottish Cup win which also handed the Hoops a domestic treble for the third consecutive year.
The former Hibernian manager’s impact was felt straightaway since taking the charge, leading his side to a string of wins.
He faced only a defeat in the process, which was against the Old Firm rivals Rangers. The notable moments were the derby win and the brilliant run in Scottish Cup. The Northern Irish man holds a winning percentage of above 70, the highest by a Celt’s manager over the course.
Though he was dubbed as the favourites to become the next full-time manager, the Celtic Park outfit kept coy about Lennon’s future.
And the situation, in turn, resulted in a number of elite managers getting linked with the Hoops.
The 47-year-old also had a great run as the Hoops manager in his previous spell, years ago.
He also said that it was his privilege to guide the Bhoys who he considers as the closest to the heart.
Having dominated the Scottish League over the years, Lennon’s biggest objective will be the Champions League for the upcoming season, where the Celtic Park club recurrently failed to make a mark.
