The trickle down effect of Joe Hart’s possible summer exit has impacted Chelsea as well, positively. The Blues are now presented with a unique opportunity and the new boss Antonio Conte is ready to take it.
According to Daily Star, Diego Lopez, from AC Milan is set to be signed by Chelsea in the coming days. The former Real Madrid man was originally a target for Everton but with Joe Hart rumored to be ready to leave Etihad, the Toffees have shifted their attention to Hart instead. Now free to pursue, Chelsea have leaped into the leading position to sign Lopez.

Lopez has also fallen down the pecking order behind Donnarumma at AC Milan and is said to be looking for a better opportunity. While Thaibut Courtois is set to continue as Chelsea no. 1 there are reports that Asmir Begovic is about to leave the club. In any case, Lopez could be a valuable addition to Chelsea squad as the Spaniard brings a galore of experience.
