Rangers will be looking to delay arch-rivals Celtic’s title celebrations when the two sides meet at the Parkhead this Sunday.
Celtic are just a win away from lifting their 7th consecutive Scottish Premiership title, with Graeme Murty’s Gers ten points below them in the table after 34 fixtures.
Rangers were beaten 4-0 by the Hoops a fortnight ago in the semifinals of the Scottish Cup and Murty’s troops will be very much keen on avoiding a repeat of that result this time out.
With first-choice goalkeeper Wes Foderingham still nursing a shoulder injury, Jak Alnwick is expected to continue between the sticks for Rangers.
The Englishman will lead the side out on the field and will need to put in a solid display if his team are to come out on top.
The young Scotsman was sent off when the two sides met last time out in the cup competition. Will want to bounce back from that display.
The on-loan Norwich City defender hasn’t been consistent enough at the back. Needs to step it up a notch against the Hoops.
The Wales international has been a success since joining the club in the summer. His attacking forays from the left-back position is a key element for this Gers outfit.
After a solid start to life with the club since joining in January, the Scottish youth international has faded a little in recent weeks. Has the potential to change the outcome of the game and needs to be given a chance.
The midfielder made a rare start last week against the Hearts and did a solid job for his team. Likely to be retained for the derby.
The Portuguese winger had a solid game for the Gers last week, scoring and assisting one goal apiece. Will want to carry on from where he left off.
The former Norwich City man has been impressing since returning from injury. Needs to be given a chance in an advanced role in the midfield as he would be able to exert more influence in the final third.
The 28-year-old on-loan Brighton winger has been brilliant since arriving at the club in the winter window. Will once again be the key for Gers.
The 22-year-old forward, on loan from Nottingham Forest, scored the opening goal for Rangers in the 2-1 win over Hearts last week. Needs to start ahead of Alfredo Morelos, who hasn’t been in the best of forms of late.
