Gaetano Berardi is to set to replace the Swedish international in the coming games.

Berardi, who ruptured his hamstring back in October was feared to miss out the entire season.

But the Swiss remained persistent on his recovery and repeatedly featured in the whites’ reserve team.

Now ahead of his return, the 30-year-old’s stats have been compared with Jansson’s. (h/t Who Scored)

The win percentage of Berrardi is 63 which is higher than the Swedish centre-back.

But in terms of defensive stats, Jansson has the edge over the Swiss defender.

The former Malmo player has a better tackling average 2.4 tackles and interception average 2.5 per game.

Above all, the 28-year-old has made more than 30 appearances this season while Berardi is limited just to nine because of his injury.

In fact, the Swedish international has scored three goals and created one more for the whites.

Earlier, Berardi’s speculated arrival was received with mixed reactions from the fans fearing that he couldn’t fill the void of the Swedish talisman.

The defeat against Sheffield United has forced the Elland Road side a position down in the Championship table.

Marcelo Bielsa after enduring tough fixtures in February has failed to produce results in the games against Queens Park Rangers and the Blades.

Leeds have to win all of their remaining games in order to keep their Premier League promotion alive.
