Former Manchester United Star Has Something To Say About The Club

Portuguese player Tiago Manuel Dias Correia, best known as Bebe, has revealed his feelings regarding his time at Manchester United. The player is currently on a loan deal from his parent club Benfica at Spanish club Rayo Vallecano.

“It left me good and bad memories, in this case because of the injuries. I arrived there when I was 19, didn’t speak a word in English but I dealt with it alone, went out to buy clothes and food and could manage to make them understand me.

“I learned a lot, everyone came to me to help, things didn’t go well, I could have enjoyed it a bit more but I don’t regret. It’s not easy to go from the Portuguese third division to one of the best clubs in the world. If it happened now, with what I know, it would be different.” – Bebe.

According to the former Manchester United winger, his time at United was tough for him and he struggled during the period. He moved to United in 2010 at the age of 19 however he was not able to make much impressions at Old Trafford. Further he states that the best managers he had ever worked with are Paco Jimenez and Costinha, he does state that Sir Alex Fergusson is different and he did not get much chance to work with him as the winger was sent off on loan to Turkish club Besiktas,  Portuguese club Rie Ave and Pacos de Ferriere.

“He’s different than all, I haven’t had many opportunities to play under him, but he’s a Sir.”

When asked about the most organised club he played for (what kind of question is that?), Bebé didn’t think twice before praising his current employers: “Benfica, no doubts. The environment is spectacular, they treat us well, it’s a dream. The organisation is spectacular, even better than Manchester United.”

Although the player is known for his time in United and the struggles, he is currently playing for Rayo Vallecano and has 3 goals and 7 assists to his credit in 30 appearances.
