Celtic extended their unbeaten run in the domestic competitions to a whopping 59 games, when they defeated Dundee FC 1-0, at the Celtic Park on Saturday.
The first goal of the game took long time coming as the current champions finally managed to break the deadlock in the 61st minute through summer signing Olivier Ntcham’s swerving strike from 25 yards out. And that strike proved to be enough for the Hoops to take home three points on the day.
Pulled off a brilliant stop to keep Paul McGowan out, before pulling off another great save to deny Roarie Deacon. He then stopped El Bakhtaoui in the final minutes. Impressive in his rare appearance.
Another player who was handed a rare start, Gamboa did not put a foot wrong for the Hoops, putting in a strong shift in defence while also being involved in the attacks.
A fairly steady performance from the Israeli international in the makeshift position. Made a couple of good blocks.
Marshalled the backline very well for the Scottish champions. Read the game well and was always on top of the situations.
Didn’t get tested a whole lot in the defensive sense, but wasn’t his usual self in the attack and did not get forward as much as he usually does.
Returned to action first time after his surgery in August and had a decent game. Kept it simple in the midfield.
Did not have the best of the first-halves, but made the difference in the end, scoring in the second period, with a brilliant effort from long distance.
Was the brightest spot in the Celtic attack, creating a number of problems to the Dundee defence with his direct running on the right-hand side.
Linked up well with Roberts at times, but flitted in and out of the game way too often to have a decisive impact.
Forced a save from the Dundee goalkeeper and did threaten once or twice. But he wasn’t at his full flowing best.
A very quiet game at the top for the Scotland international. Rarely saw the ball, as a result of which he could not leave a mark.
Replaced Eboue for the final 25 minutes to make his first appearance of the season. Continued from where his teammate left off.
On for Griffiths with just a little over 15 minutes left to play. Was bright.
Came on for Gamboanin the 79th minute.
