Schalke outclassed Arsenal finishing top in group b, like wise Dotrmund and Bayern Muncih all topped their group. Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez believes the Bundesliga is perhaps the best competition in Europe at the moment, given the performances of German teams in the Champions League recently.
“All (three German teams) deserved to win their groups. It’s nice to see that the Bundesliga is alive and catching up with the very best leagues,” Gomez told the UEFA website.
“In terms of strength across the board, I’d even say it’s the best at the moment. The top teams are all performing strongly in Europe.”
