5 Newcastle United Players Who Would Be Perfect For Any Of The Top 4 Teams, Including This Goalkeeper Who Would Be Ideal For Liverpool

Share

Things haven’t gone the way that most Newcastle fans would have wanted to at the end of this season. The Magpies were relegated from the Premier League after Sunderland’s win over Everton and it will be a tough summer next season as most of their star players would be targets for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Newcastle might not have played all that well and under Rafa Benitez, they couldn’t survive relegation. The Spaniard might not be staying at the club at the start of next season. We provide five stars who also be leaving the club for one of the top four sides in the Premier League.

Tim Krul

The Dutch goalkeeper has not played all too many games this year, which has been disrupted by injuries amongst other problems. The 28-year-old was even the Dutch number one until injury ruled him out for most of the season.

Krul though could be a great singing for any of the top clubs. We all know that Liverpool are looking for a new goalkeeper. Krul wouldn’t just be a good reserve goalkeeper, he would actually be a number one for many of the top sides in Europe as well.

Moussa Sissoko

The French midfielder is another star who didn’t have the greatest season for Newcastle, but he was also linked with a move to Liverpool early on but he stayed at Newcastle and with the Magpies ending up in the Championship, there will be a number of clubs vying for the signature of the 26-year-old midfielder.

Sissoko is dynamic and has a great engine as well, certainly perfect for the Premier League. He might be inconsistent, but the Frenchman would be a great option to have off the bench or even as a squad rotation player in some of the bigger teams.

Ayoze Perez

Ayoze Perez was a surprise signing for the Magpies, but he proved that he could be the spark that saves the side. Sadly, that did not happen and he will be one of the first players to leave the club.

The 22-year-old might have signed a new contract to stay till 2012, but this just means that any club wanting to sign the pacey attacker would have to pay a bit more to take him away from the Premier League side.

Daryl Janmaat

Janmaat is just 26 at the moment and is one of the better right-backs in the Premier League. The Dutch international was one of the targets for Manchester United last season but nothing concrete actually took place between the sides.

Janmaat might not have the pace to trouble many players, but he is one of the players that you can count on. Newcastle would be hoping that he does stay at the club for one more season but that seems highly unlikely.

Cheick Tiote

Tiote at one time was considered the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League but those days seem to be long gone. Tiote hasn’t had the best season either but then again, who has for Newcastle?

Tiote might not be the youngest player in the Premier League, but he can certainly get the job done for a side looking for a bit of steel in the midfield. He might be 29 but he still can have his good days for a team.
