At the moment, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette might be one of the most wanted strikers in Europe, with a number of big clubs looking to sign him. Clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have all been keeping tabs on the attacker, who managed an impressive 27 goals in 31 league games last season for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Further, Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has had to emphasize on the fact that the striker will not be leaving the club anytime soon. It has been also claimed that the club are in talks to renew the 24-year-old superstar’s contract though the speculations of a possible exit never seem to die down.
Apart from the president, Lyon manager Hubert Fournier spoke to L’Equipe and cleared the air about the whole situation. He said, “I’m not worried about Alexandre. Of course, if a €50-60m bid was tabled, I will no doubt have to prepare for his exit and wish him good luck, but I really feel like he wants to stay”.
Well, it would be quite interesting to see now if the Gunners or any other club would be interested in spending such a huge amount to sign the French international this summer.
