World Class Kane – The Best Of Reactions From Twitter And Tottenham Player Ratings vs Hull City

Share

Full Time: Hull City 1-7 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur totally destroyed and decimated Hull City in their final game of the Premier League thrashing the Tigers 7-1 at the KCOM Arena.

Spurs were off to a brilliant start with striker Harry Kane scoring a quickfire double in space of two minutes. Dele Alli made it three on the verge of half-time. Sam Clucas pulled one back in the 66th minute, but Victor Wanyama restored Tottenham’s three-goal cushion soon afterwards.

Kane then completed his second hat-trick in the space of three days to make it 5-1 before Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld added the sixth and the seventh for Spurs late in the game.

Here is how the Tottenham players fared on the day:

Tottenham Player Ratings

Hugo Lloris – 7/10

Had little to do in the first period and made a fine stop from a Tom Huddlestone effort. No chance for the goal.

Kieran Trippier – 8/10

Brilliant. Set Kane up for the second with a volleyed cross, before picking out Alderweireld with pinpoint accuracy late in the game. Irrespective of whether Kyle Walker stays or not, should be first choice next season.

Toby Alderweireld – 8/10

Had it very easy defensively today. Composed and calm. Got his first goal of the season late in the game.

Jan Vertonghen – 7/10

His mistake led to the consolation goal for the Tigers, but other than that an assured display alongside his compatriot.

Ben Davies – 8/10

Solid defensively, brilliant on the forward runs. Great to see his name on the scoresheet. Has come a long way in the last few months.

Victor Wanyama – 8/10

Controlled the midfield brilliantly allowing the creative players to prosper around him. Scored a good header.

Eric Dier – 8/10

Equally good alongside Wanyama in the middle of the park. Broke up play all day long and played an important role in the lead up to the opener.

Christian Eriksen – 8.5/10

Returned to line-up and pulled the strings for Tottenham in the attacking third. Set up the opener for Kane and the fourth goal for Wanyama’s strike from a free-kick. Sensational.

Dele Alli – 8/10

Beautiful finish on the stroke of half-time to put his side three goals up. Set Kane up for his third goal with a back-heel.

Heung-Min Son – 8/10

Continued where he left off against Leicester. An unselfish and a hard-working display from the South Korean. Teed Alli up for the third goal.

Harry Kane – 10/10

Absolutely sensational. A second hat-trick in three days allowed him to easily clinch his second consecutive golden boot award. World Class.

Substitutes

Mousa Dembele – 7/10

Replaced Eric Dier in the 73rd minute. Drove Spurs forward from the midfield.

Moussa Sissoko – 7/10

Came on for Alli in the 73d minute. Almost scored himself. Set Davies up for the sixth strike.

Vincent Janssen – NA

Replaced Kane for the last ten minutes.
