According to a report in Morrocan outlet Lions De L Atlas, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Wolves defender Romain Saiss in the summer window. The 28-year-old has been in and out of the side, but manager Nuno Espirito Santo has used him in different positions when required.
Saiss has featured 17 times in all competitions, 13 of them coming in the league. Wolves have done business with Atletico before, as they got Jonny on loan last summer and then signed the Spaniard in a permanent deal last month.
On the other hand, Saiss’ contract runs out in 2020, hence, he will enter the final 12 months of his deal at the Molineux if he doesn’t sign an extension. Here’s why Wolves should keep the Moroccan international beyond the summer and offer him a new contract:

Hence, it is clear that Nuno is using Saiss as a utility player, someone who can be an asset to the squad in any situation. Every team should have a player of this type, as it helps the manager in the hour of need.
Therefore, Wolves should keep hold of the Moroccan and offer him a new deal. Doing the latter would be enough to ward off teams in the summer.
