Robert Skov was born on 16th May 1997 in Silkeborg, Denmark. He started his career in the city’s local team and came through the ranks before making his senior debut as a 16-year-old.
After over 100 appearances for Silkeborg in almost 5 years, Skov moved to Danish giants Copenhagen in January 2018.
He made seveb appearances for the club in the Danish top-flight that season and scored just one goal.
Skov started off the season brilliantly by scoring a brace against Hobro in his second game. He continued to start on the right wing under manager Staale Stolbakken and produced a string of incredible performances for the club.
Skov went on a mind-boggling scoring streak that started at the end of November where he scored a staggering 12 goals in five league games including three hattricks. His stunning form has propelled Copenhagen to the top of the league, three points ahead of rivals Midtjylland.
Skov has scored 22 goals and has provided 6 assists so far in 22 league games for Copenhagen.
Naturally a right winger, Skov possesses decent pace and uses his quick feet and close control to get away from his markers. His confidence on the ball is noteworthy and has a gem of a left foot.
Skov picks up the ball out wide and loves to cut inside onto his stronger left foot before driving inwards and taking a pop at goal. Skov’s dribbling skills are brilliant and allows him to take on defenders at ease.
The 22-year-old’s biggest trait is his finishing. The Dane’s outstanding left boot allows him to take accurate shots from distance. Skov is also brilliant on the dead-ball and has scored a number of direct free-kicks in his Copenhagen career so far.
One of the things Skov needs to improve in his game is his composure. The Dane is often seen rushing his decisions at crucial moments. Another aspect of his game that is not up to the mark is his aerial ability.
Despite being over 6ft tall, Skov shies away from aerial challenges at times and is a liability when defending in his own box. The 22-year-old fails to track back when under counter-attack and often leaves his full-back exposed to multiple attackers.

Skov’s incredible goalscoring campaign is worthy of interest from clubs. Premier League quartet of Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a summer move for the 22-year-old goal machine. (Sky Sports)
