Watch-out! These Two Celtic Youngsters Can Take The Scottish Premiership By Storm Next Season

Two Celtic Youngsters To Watch Out For Next Season

Celtic really haven’t been looking very close to home when it comes to playing youngsters, with Moussa Dembele having come from Fulham and Patrick Roberts being on loan from Man City to name two. The only exception being Kieran Tierney. The best of Celtic’s youngsters may already have gone, with Stuart Findlay now finding himself at Newcastle, but there are more in the locker and Brendan Rodgers may do well to let them loose next term.

In a league such as the Scottish Premiership, more and more clubs can afford to blood their youngsters as the level of competition is not too high.

Here we look at two of the best who can make an impact, at least domestically, for the Glasgow side as they look to maintain their dominance over this league.

Eboue Kouassi

The 19-year-old from Ivory Coast signed for the club in January from Krasnodar in Russia and was given limited opportunities to impress early on. There is no doubt the central midfield player has talent and, with Armstrong not guaranteed to be at the club next term, he is likely to be given his chance.

A good pre-season will be crucial for the young man, as he was afforded only 1300 minutes last term by his two clubs. 9 of his 23 games were in the Europa League though, including qualifiers, and he may well be the surprise package for Celtic in next season’s Champions League.

Aidan Nesbitt

One player who might come out of the Celtic academy and impress at first team level is attacking midfielder Nesbitt. A versatile, forward-thinking player, he has already played twice for Scotland’s under-21 team and in fact, he has represented his country at under-16, 17 and 19 levels too.

Nesbitt has spent time in the Scottish Championship on loan at Greenock Morton where he has made 30 league appearances, as well as appearing at the top level for Partick Thistle on loan. The boy from Paisley is gaining valuable experience and may well be used more often by his parent club next season as they’d look to build a strong Celtic team for the future.

Nesbitt has played 52 games over the last year, which, for such a young player is a lot of game time. Watch out for him making an impact at Premiership level.
