Vokes Up Front, Brady On The Right – Strongest 4-4-2 Burnley Line-up To Face Swansea City

Predicted Burnley Line-up To Face Swansea City In The Premier League

Burnley have managed to stay buoyant so far and will look to extend their streak as they welcome Swansea City to Turf Moor on Saturday. Sean Dyche’s men have performed remarkably well this season so far and are currently sitting proudly at 7th place in the table. Swansea, meanwhile, are in the second last spot and are battling relegation worries. Three points can truly help them in their quest to get out of there but it will be tough against a team like Burnley.

The Clarets’ immediate rivals Watford and Brighton are 4 points below them, so this match will prove to be an ideal opportunity for Burnley to seal 3 easy points and surge further ahead.

Team News

Dyche has no fresh injury concerns. Early team news suggests that Heaton and Walters are likely to miss out due to injuries. Marney remains doubtful for a start, though he might make an appearance from the bench. Besides that, the manager will have a fit squad to choose from, and the club have no players out suspended.

Possible Burnley XI To Face Swansea City

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Sean Dyche

Nick Pope (GK)

Pope continues to make waves at Burnley and has been in splendid form. It’d be safe to say that he’s a sure starter for Burnley these days, as Heaton is out.

Nick Pope

Matt Lowton (RB)

Lowton is likely to essay his usual role at right-back, and his conviction and strength have been crucial for Burnley.

James Tarkowski (CB)

Tarkowski has been a formidable presence at the heart of Burnley’s defence and he will be important in keeping Swansea at bay.

Ben Mee (CB)

Mee has been a vital presence for Burnley and is expected to start against Swansea on Saturday.

Stephen Ward (LB)

Ward has been under pressure to maintain his spot but his recent couple of displays have been encouraging and should start against Swansea as well.

Jack Cork

Scott Arfield (LM)

Arfield was influential for Burnley last season and he continues to be an important figure for them in the midfield. Dyche is likely to hand him with the responsibility of patrolling the left flank.

Jack Cork (CM)

The fact that he was recently called up to the England squad speaks volumes of his impact. Cork will expect to start against Swansea to continue with his good work.

Steven Defour (CM)

Eager to make the World Cup squad next summer, Defour should start and put up an impressive display in dictating the pace of the game.

Robbie Brady (RM)

Brady’s creativity will come into play when it comes to orchestrating attacks for Burnley. Swansea’s defence has been weak, which should provide scope for Brady to capitalise.

Sam Vokes (left)

Jeff Hendrick (CAM)

On a high after scoring the solitary goal against Newcastle, Hendrick has made a pretty strong case for Dyche to hand him a start.

Sam Vokes (CF)

Vokes was the most influential player against Southampton and that should see the player earn a starting spot against Swansea.
