Predicted Crystal Palace Line-up To Face Everton In The Premier League

Crystal Palace will have quite a task on their hand as they welcome Everton to the Selhurst Park on Saturday. A poor start to the season saw Frank De Boer get sacked and now it is all up to Roy Hodgson to minimise the club’s struggles. Having secured only 4 points in 11 game weeks, Palace are in desperate need of points in order to escape the dreaded relegation zone.

Everton are yet to appoint a new manager, and this should be a good chance for Palace to seal 3 points at home. It will not be easy since the Toffees notched a splendid win against Watford last time but Hodgson will be exactly aware of how important it is for Palace to win.

Team News

Patrick van Aanholt continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury. Lee Chung-Yong is yet to recover, so he will miss out as well. Club record signing Christian Benteke, however, is on the road to recovery and is nearing a return towards the end of November, which will come as good news for the club.

Possible Crystal Palace XI To Face Everton

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Julian Speroni (GK)

All eyes will be on the Argentine keeper as Everton’s attackers will be itching to get their names on the score sheet. It could all come down to how Speroni keeps them out.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Joel Ward (RB)

Joel Ward is expected to start at right-back, coming in and taking his usual role on Saturday.

Scott Dann (CB)

Dann is expected to continue in his usual role at the heart of Palace’s defence. His performances will be crucial as Hodgson attempts to improve the squad’s chances of survival.

Mamadou Sakho (CB)

Sakho’s influence has waned a bit this term but the 27-year-old can be very strong and his display against Everton will be pivotal.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah (LB)

The Manchester United loanee has been quite solid for Palace at the back and they will need him to be in form, as they hope to maintain a clean sheet.

Yohan Cabaye

Yohan Cabaye (DM)

Cabaye has seen a lot of ups and downs but he has been solid of late, which should see him start on Saturday.

Luka Milivojevic (DM)

Cabaye is likely to be joined by Milivojevic in the heart of Palace’s midfield. The game against Everton won’t be easy and that makes the duo all the more crucial.

Jeffrey Schlupp (LW)

Schlupp has proven to be quite strong in this position and it will be interesting to see how he fares under Hodgson.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (CAM)

Loftus-Cheek has been quite impressive for Palace and his influence will be crucial in establishing control in the midfield.

Wilfried Zaha

Andros Townsend (RW)

Townsend’s creativity and pace will be crucial when it comes to orchestrating attacks, and if he starts, the player will have to be at his best.

Wilfred Zaha (CF)

Zaha will look to get his name on the scoresheet as he’s been on a terrific run of form recently. His precision and accuracy will be important against a newly resilient Everton defence.
