Premier League opinion: Two clubs who should target Andrej Kramaric

While he struggled during his time at Leicester City, Andrej Kramaric has come leaps and bounds since then, becoming one of the most reliable strikers in the Bundesliga. He’s consistently managed double figures for Hoffenheim and more so, made himself an absolute menace.

A versatile forward, Kramaric has the ability and the speed to play as a lone number nine or even as a winger out on the flanks. However, it’s up front where the 27-year-old excels, thanks to his blend of speed and clinical finishing. Though he isn’t the tallest, Kramaric’s strength is deceiving.

Furthermore, his spatial and footballing intelligence makes him perfect for the Premier League. Here are two clubs who must target him:

2) West Ham

At the moment Marko Arnautovic is at West Ham and while he has been benched by Manuel Pellegrini, he is still at the club. He was heavily linked with a move to China over the winter window and instead stayed at the club, signing an extension.

But that extention came with a £45million release clause (Times), which is the exact amount that the Hammers were offered (Daily Mail). Furthermore, both Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll are on their way out of the club and that puts the club in more trouble (Football London).

It leaves them without a bonafide goal-scoring striker and in a lot of trouble. Bringing in someone as good as Andrej Kramaric would help them replace both Arnautovic and Hernandez.

1) Everton

Everton’s struggles this season has been very well documented, with the Toffees currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League. Smart spending has only gotten the club so far this season, with only Richarlison, Lucas Digne and Bernard doing relatively well.

What they really needed over the summer was a centre-forward. That’s something the club has missed since Romelu Lukaku opted to leave for Manchester United.

Both Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have struggled to make an impact this season. This has left both Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison to pick up the slack. But there is only so much the two can do, and adding Andrej Kramaric will help ease that burden next season.

The 27-year-old’s finishing and movement in the final third will certainly help but so will his creativity. A modern centre-forward, Kramaric is close to perfect for Everton’s style of play and should help them move forward.

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
