Top 5 Wingers In The Premier League

The Premier League is known for its attacking play and flair, yes there are some really tough defenders who love to put in a challenge as well but nothing gets the heart racing than seeing a player glide through many challenges and scoring a breath-taking goal. Fortunately for the Premier League there are quite a few gifted wingers and we look at the top 5 wingers to have played in the Premier League this season.

5. Nacer Chadli

The Tottenham attacker has slowly but surely become one of the important players for the team, Chadli might have had a slow start to his Spurs career last year but he has become a big player under Pochetino and has scored 11 goals this season with 5 assists to boot as well. The Belgian will become better as he plays more games and could push Tottenham into a better position next season as they still hunt for a top 4 finish.

4. Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling

The relationship between Sterling and Liverpool has deteriorated faster than a cheese cake kept out in the summer. Sterling might not be on the right path according to a lot of pundits but he at points, has been Liverpool’s best player this season and has proved that with his ability to play either as a striker or as a winger, he has scored 7 goals this season and has provided 8 assists this season, who knows where he might end up playing next year but if Sterling has his way, it will not be in the red of Liverpool.

3. Sadio Mane

Mane broke into the limelight in the last set of games as he scored the fastest hat trick in the history of the league and has scored 10 goals this season for Southampton, he has also provided 4 assists for the Saints as they have impressed all with their style of play under Ronald Koeman and have done really well after losing out on so many players at the start of the season. Mane will have a big role to play for Southampton in their second season under Koeman as they try to push on from this season.

2. Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez

A new season, a new team but the same old Sanchez, Alexis hit the ground running for Arsenal and has scored 16 goals in the Premier League and has provided 8 assists, the Chilean hasn’t been as prolific in the second half of the season but this season has been a success for the Chilean and he still has a chance to help Arsenal retain the FA Cup and that could be a chance to shine at Wembley.

1. Eden Hazard

Hazard

The star of the Premier League this season, Eden Hazard has gotten better and better as he has spent more time at Chelsea and under Jose Mourinho. Hazard has scored 14 goals this season in the Premier League and has provided 9 assists for the Champions and will look to continue his form into the next season, his next target? To get on the same performance levels as Ronaldo and Messi, not an easy task to be honest.
