Aston Villa picked up their first win under new manager Dean Smith after beating Swansea City 1-0. Tammy Abraham scored the only goal of the game that ultimately handed Dean Smith his first win as Villa manager.
Swansea City threatened on many occasions but were unable to make their chances count.
He made a number of match-winning saves but his distribution was awful.
Hutton kept Barrie McKay at bay throughout the game. His defending was superb on the night.
Best player on the night for Villa. He made a countless number of clearances and was superb with his passing.
He barely put a foot wrong throughout the night. The United loanee handled McBurnie well.
He was pretty good on the night. When he’s good, he tends to turn heads.
He was brilliant in the first half but was careless in the second half.
The Scottish international was supreme on the night. Unfortunately, he will miss the next game through suspension.

He often slowed down the play during the counter. He was also very hesitant on the ball.
Bolasie came on and dazzled with his ability on the ball. Was unfortunate not to pick up an assist.
Was unable to make much of an impact but he did well to hold the play up.
