Predicted Swansea City Line-up To Face Leicester City In The Premier League

Swansea City will host Leicester City on Saturday in their next Premier League clash. The Swans will be looking to capitalise on the fact that the Foxes are currently led by caretaker manager Michael Appleton following the sacking of Craig Shakespeare.

Leicester have not been in the best of forms. The Foxes dropped into the relegation zone following a 1-1 at home with West Bromwich Albion on Monday, while Swansea are at 13th place after a crucial 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town.

Team News

Renato Sanches and Wilfried Bony are both slight doubts as they are both nursing injuries. Sanches has an issue with his thigh while Bony has to deal with a hamstring problem. Meanwhile, Kyle Bartley continues to remain sidelined through injury.

Here’s how Swansea might line up against Leicester:

Manager: Paul Clement

Formation: 4-4-2

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

Fabianski will take up his usual position in goal. He managed to maintain a clean sheet against Huddersfield Town and will be looking for one against Leicester as well.

Lukasz Fabianski

Kyle Naughton (RB)

The defence line should have Naughton at right-back, who will look to maintain the solid form he has shown of late.

Federico Fernandez (CB)

Fernandez will have to be in top-notch form to restrict the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

Mawson should partner Fernandez at centre-back. The duo has been quite solid in recent times, and they will be crucial at the back for Swansea.

Martin Olsson (LB)

Swansea have proven to be quite strong at the back over their last few games, so Olsson should take up his left-back role on Saturday.

Tom Carroll

Leon Britton (DM)

Britton will have a crucial role to play as he will have to work with the defenders as well as the attacking midfielder to ensure a smooth transition from defence to attack.

Tom Carroll (CM)

Carroll has been quite influential for Swansea and he will be an important player against Leicester. He will be tasked with the responsibility of establishing control over the midfield.

Leroy Fer (CM)

Providing support for Carroll should be Fer. The Leicester midfield can prove to be tricky, and Fer will be tasked with keeping the opposition attackers at bay.

Tammy Abraham

Luciano Narsingh (CAM)

Narsingh will have to take up the duty of weaving paths past the Leicester defence to set up chances to score. He has been quite influential for Swansea and will be looking to continue that.

Tammy Abraham (CF)

Abraham will be key in Swansea’s bid for survival, and the striker will undoubtedly prove to be a handful for Leicester to deal with.

Jordan Ayew (CF)

Abraham should be joined by Ayew up front. Both players will have to ensure they get their names early on the scoresheet to provide a solid foundation for Swansea to build on.
