Manchester City opinion: Should the Cityzens sign Paulo Dybala?

According to a report from the Metro, Juventus are prepared to sell Argentine superstar Paulo Dybala in the summer in order to fund a move for Benfica starlet Joao Felix.

Felix has also had interest from Manchester United and Manchester City in recent months but his performance in the Europa League last week has enhanced his reputation in Europe.

Manchester City’s interest in the player who is dubbed to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo is obvious as he suits Pep Guardiola’s system perfectly. The youngster is without a doubt one of the best young players in the world but he still has a long way to go before he is a sure starter for a big European club.

Manchester City should forego their interest Joao Felix for now and instead move in for Paulo Dybala, who they have been seriously interested in over the last few months. Dybala is a proven product in Europe and has been a phenomenal performer over the last few years.

The report reveals that Dybala is surplus to Massimiliano Allegri’s plans in the summer and after a poor season for the Old Lady, he could well be on his way out of the club this summer.

Dybala would, in a way, be a phenomenal partner for fellow countryman Sergio Aguero up top for the Cityzens and under Pep Guardiola’s guidance, he can be the perfect replacement for the 30-year old once he decides to move on.

Dybala’s versatility will be a joy for Guardiola who brings out the best in players who are capable of playing in multiple positions. Lionel Messi, for example, as great as he is, had the world at his feet under Guardiola where he was given a free role around the pitch.

Dybala can have a similar role under the Manchester City boss and thanks to his ability to play anywhere across the front line, he can light up the Premier League in Manchester City’s free-flowing style of football.

Dybala is a complete forward capable of scoring goals as well as creating chances for his teammates. He’s a real menace to the opposition when paired up with a clinical striker, as evident during his time next to Gonzalo Higuain in Turin.

Conclusion

Manchester City could form one of the most lethal strike forces in the world with the signing of Paulo Dybala in the summer.

The Argentine, still only 25, could have the same impact as Sergio Aguero has had for the club since his arrival and City should seriously consider a move for him in the summer.
