Scouting For Arsenal – Three Super Stars Who Are As Good As Draxler

Share

While Julian Draxler to Arsenal was a continued transfer saga throughout the January transfer window, the rumours have only grown stronger of Draxler’s move to Arsenal. Recently, Draxler rubbished all those rumours and  said, “I have absolutely no thoughts of moving. It is guaranteed that there will be speculation, but it’s very, very likely I will play [at Schalke] next season.”

Anyway if indeed Arsenal do miss out on Julian Draxler it is not all bad for the London club and here at Soccersouls we have a look at the potential three replacements.

Antoine Griezmann: The French winger has been in fine form this season dazzling in a Real Sociedad side which made a charge for a Champions League spot late in the campaign. However a fifth spot finish means that Real Sociedad will not be in the Champions League next season which makes it much easier for a club like Arsenal to tempt him. Having already scored 16 goals this season Antoine Greizmann is fast becoming one of the hottest property in world football. If Arsenal want Greizmann they need to act fast as the 23 year old is already getting a lot of suitors across the La Liga and Serie A. A classy winger in the traditional mould he would fit right in at Arsenal.

Adam Lallana: The Southampton winger is already in the radar of Liverpool but a move for Lallana from Arsenal’s side might not be the worst idea in the world. Having established himself in the Premier League this season, Lallana is only expected to go from strength to strength and having a player of his caliber will suit Arsenal. A tricky winger who will not have any adaptability issues looks like a ready-made player for Arsenal’s requirements in the wings. Also age not being an issue and Arsenal already having an impressive British core of players, the Southampton winger will fit right in the London club. However a lot will depend on how much Southampton asks for their star winger as it is unlikely that Arsene Wenger will break the bank for a player like Adam Lallana.

Cristian Tello: Having only got two starts this season for Barcelona, Cristian Tello needs the next season to be good for his career to progress. A direct winger who likes to play football the way Arsene Wenger wants, he will be a great fit in at Arsenal. As his career looks stalled at Barcelona and with the Catalan club still owing Arsenal some of the transfer fee from the Cesc Fabregas transfer this move might not be as implausible as it looks. Tello will fit right in Arsene Wenger’s system and with Arsenal unlikely to need to break the bank to acquire Tello, a transfer for the player might be in Arsene Wenger’s interest if he needs massive money to spend in improving other areas of the squad.
