Burnley will take on surprise package Huddersfield Town in the game-week 6 of the Premier League, at the Turf Moor, on Saturday.
The Clarets have had a solid start to the season and currently occupy 7th place in the league table, with 8 points from 5 games, with two wins and two draws. Last week, they managed to steal a point away at Anfield against Liverpool, but had to face the disappointment of getting eliminated from the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, losing out on penalties to Championship side Leeds United. Sean Dyche will be keen on continuing their strong start to the league campaign, by grabbing 3 points from the Terriers.
Captain and goalkeeper Tom Heaton is out for a considerable amount of time, due to a shoulder injury. Deadline day arrival Nahki Wells is yet to recover from his ankle problem, while Dean Marney too is a major doubt.
Has done well in the last three games, in the absence of Tom Heaton. Should keep his place between the sticks on Saturday.
The 28-year old right-back should return to the starting XI, after not playing in the midweek game. Phil Bardsley will make way.
Has been brilliant so far, but the penalty miss in the midweek will have deflated his confidence somewhat. Will want to bounce back strongly against Huddersfield.
The 27-year old wasn’t involved on Tuesday night against Leeds, but should line up from the kick-off at the weekend, with Kevin Long dropping out.
The Republic of Ireland international was another who did not feature in the cup game. Should replace Charlie Taylor in the starting line-up.
Has started off the new season strongly with some very encouraging displays on the right flank. Should retain his starting spot.
The summer signing from Swansea City wasn’t involved in the midweek game, but could make his return to the midfield on Saturday.
The Belgian has struck a good partnership with Cork in the midfield. Should be reinstated to the playing XI against the Terriers.
The Irishman scored from a brilliant free-kick on Tuesday night after coming on from the bench. Should be given a starting berth on Saturday.
The Canadian has done well, operating in the hole behind the main striker, and scored a goal in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool last weekend. He is likely to start again, despite featuring from the get go on Tuesday.
The Kiwi striker has scored twice in three league games already since his move from Leeds. Did not start on Tuesday, but should resume his duties at the top of the attack on Saturday.
