Predicted Arsenal Line Up To Face Everton – Mertesacker, Coquelin And Campbell Set To Return

Share

Arsenal now get back to Premier League action after their European journey came to an end at the hands of Barcelona. Not that the result was not expected, Barcelona completed the job they started in London a few weeks ago as they dispatched the Arsenal team 3-1 at the Nou Camp.

The Gunners don’t have an easy task as they take on Everton at Goodison. The Toffees will be buoyed with their FA Cup win in the last week against Chelsea and know that Arsenal will be weary after their European sojourn.

Arsene Wenger did rest a few players for the game against the La Liga side and with the need of a win and three points extremely important for the London side, they might go all out at Merseyside.

Here is the predicted lineup for the Gunners in this Premier League clash.

David Ospina

With Petr Cech out, the Colombian will keep his place in the starting lineup. He might have conceded three against Barcelona but he couldn’t really stop any of the goals from going in.

Hector Bellerin

Speedy had a tough outing against Barcelona but he should have a better game against the Premier League side.

Laurent Koscielny

Koscielny was turned inside out a number of times by MSN and he should be careful of Romelu Lukaku’s brilliance in attack.

Per Mertesacker

The German didn’t play against Barcelona but should start against Everton and will look to keep a clean sheet.

Nacho Monreal

Monreal will also have a tough game against Everton and needs to be careful that he is not taken to the cleaners.

Mohamed Elneny

The new signing scored the only goal against Barcelona over the two legs and would be looking to continue his good performance from the last game.

Francis Coquelin

Coquelin was also one player who could not deal with Barcelona and he will have a tough time with the Everton team as well in a charged up atmosphere at Goodison.

Joel Campbell

Campbell needs to show that he can do a good job and maybe playing away from home could get his season restarted once again.

Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean was a missing man in the away tie against Barcelona but back to the Premier League could be the way for him to show his ability again.

Mesut Ozil

Ozil just couldn’t get it going at the Nou Camp and old failings of Arsenal came out once again. The German though will be looking to put in a better performance this time around.

Olivier Giroud

The French striker did not play in the game against Barcelona but he should start in this game for the Gunners as they look for an important three points.
