Predicted (4-1-3-2) Manchester United Line Up Under Mourinho Including Four New Signings

Share

As Louis van Gaal has been finally sacked, it is reported that Manchester United will invite Jose Mourinho to manage the Old Trafford club. Jose Mourinho is regarded as one of the best managers in recent times and the Portuguese tactician’s trophy cabinet speaks for him.

After Chelsea’s dismal start last season, the club sacked Jose Mourinho for the second time in his career. Well, not only the manager, but the players are also to be blamed for such a poor display.

Fast forward to May, BBC claims that Manchester United will appoint Jose Mourinho as van Gaal’s successor in a few days. The arrival of Jose Mourinho will surely bring a change in the current Manchester United squad. Many players will have to make their way out of the club in order to pursue their career. Besides that, there will be a plethora of super stars arriving. It is reported that Manchester United will allot £200m to Jose Mourinho in order to rebuild the squad.

So here we give you the predicted lineup of Manchester United including the targets who will play under Jose Mourinho-

Who misses out?

John Stones has been Jose Mourinho’s favourite from his time at Chelsea. He didn’t have a great season with Everton this term, but the young English international is strong and a clever defender. He is never afraid to make a strong physical challenge and Stones can surely handle Manchester United’s defensive duties in order to release the burden from Blind’s shoulders.

Chris Smalling had a great season, and he is expected to retain his place alongside Stones. Luke Shaw, on the other hand, will be returning from his injury to start the season with a bang. Matteo Darmian had an average season, and the Italian is considered as an attacking full back who possesses a great stamina. Mourinho can use Darmian as he used Cesar Azpilicueta during his Chelsea days.

As it is rumored that Michael Carrick will be leaving the side after a successful spell at Old Trafford, so Daley Blind can be deployed as a defensive midfielder and the Dutch star has proved last season why he can be trusted in the defensive duties. Schneiderlin, on the other hand, might not get a first team display in Mourinho plans.

Coming on to the central midfield, Rooney has been a wonderful performer in that position for the side. Of course, he looked dizzy at times and lacked the first touch, but the Devils’ skipper has found a new position to resume his career with. It is reported that Manchester United are eyeing Valencia’s central midfielder and the Portuguese can surely help the team’s midfield in the near future.

As an attacking midfielder / wide player, Manchester United can blindly trust the Senegalese sensation Sadio Mane, who is rumored to have offer from Manchester United. He has been a joy to watch in the entire season, and play a very vital role In United’s Europa League campaign.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on his way to Manchester, well, it is what the rumors say. The Swedish striker needs no introduction and he is an undoubted threat for every defender, and alongside him, Jose Mourinho might use Anthony Martial who scored 17 goals (in all competition) for the Devils last season.

Players who miss:

Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Memphis Depay, Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera.
