He is never afraid to make a strong physical challenge and Stones can surely handle Manchester United’s defensive duties in order to release the burden from Blind’s shoulders.
Chris Smalling had a great season, and he is expected to retain his place alongside Stones. Luke Shaw, on the other hand, will be returning from his injury to start the season with a bang. Matteo Darmian had an average season, and the Italian is considered as an attacking full back who possesses a great stamina. Mourinho can use Darmian as he used Cesar Azpilicueta during his Chelsea days.
