West Ham United failed to keep up their good run of form in recent games as they fell to a narrow defeat at the hands of their neighbours Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. They were 3-0 down in the game when Javier Hernandez pulled one back in the second half. Chiekhou Kouyate managed to make it 3-2 but Spurs managed to hold on to their advantage and took away all three points.
Could not have done anything to stop any of the goal on the day but had a couple of nervous moments from crosses, which could have beaten him easily.
Was hardly tested as he kept his side away from danger all game.
Stuck to his task well at the back in the first half but had a nervous second half, before he was subbed off.
Threw himself about in front of the goal and did everything he could to keep Spurs away from his goal in a commendable performance.
Had a less than impressive time at the back, as he almost cost his side with his lethargic touch in a dangerous area.
Failed to help his side in the final third and was caught out of position in the build-up to the first goal. Needs to improve quickly.
Full of energy all game, constantly harassing the Tottenham players in the middle of the park, stealing the ball away just in front of the backline.
Complemented Noble well, in the middle of the pitch and also thumped in a header that caused some jitters in the away camp.
Bilic tried to push him too early into the first-team as he was coming back from an injury and he was subbed off just 27 minutes into the game.
Was poor for most of the game as he failed to create or take chances in the final third, slowly drifting away in the game.
Looked more dangerous playing as a striker than as a winger and got himself a goal with his persistence, which did not make a huge difference.
Was responsible for losing the ball in the build-up to two of the three goals that West Ham let in and failed to test the Tottenham defence either.
Given the role of a free floater, he failed to have enough impact on the game, even with Spurs down to 10-men.
Picked up the assist for Kouyate’s goal and added some pace and fresh legs to his side late in the game.
