Full Time: Everton 2-1 Bournemouth

Ronald Koeman’s Everton finally managed to get back to winning ways as they came back from a goal down to take all three points from their game against Bournemouth on Saturday. Oumar Niasse came off the bench to make all the difference on the night as the Toffees grabbed a win against the Cherries.

Here’s how the Everton players fared on the day:

Jordan Pickford (7)

Made a sensational save early in the game to keep the score at 1-0 and commanded his box well all game.

Cuco Martina (6)

Was solid at the back but failed to have enough of an impact at the other end of the field.

Mason Holgate (5)

Made a strong start to the game but slowly faded away and was caught out of position a number of times in the second half.

Ashley Williams (7)

Stuck to his task well at the back, keeping the likes of Jermaine Defoe away from goal.

Leighton Baines (6)

Was his usual self on the left flank, adding flair and mettle at both ends of the field.

Idrissa Gueye (6)

Did his defensive duties to perfection but Everton needed him to be a bit more adventurous to help them to a more comfortable victory.

Morgan Schneiderlin (5)

Looked bright for most parts of the game but is still far away from his best, as he allowed Bournemouth to build play up in front of him.

Davy Klaassen (5)

Was off the blocks quickly but faded away, as he was almost non-existent from the end of the first-half.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (6)

Should have had a penalty and came close to scoring but just failed to create enough chances to keep Bournemouth on their toes, playing in an advanced role.

Wayne Rooney (6)

Was frustrated early in the game, which was showing right till the end but his touches and turns in the final third were a constant menace to the opponents.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (7)

Showed great energy throughout the game and created the chance after the break as he helped his side to all three points in a tricky game.

Subs

Tom Davies (6)

Picked up a booking but played a role in both his team’s goals, making an immediate impact from the bench.

Oumar Niasse (8)

Made all the difference coming off the bench, hurrying the Cherries and playing some confident football, picking up a brace and winning all three points for his side.

Jonjoe Kenny (6)

Came in with 10 minutes to spare but created a chance and almost gave away a goal on an eventful night.
