Predicted Tottenham line-up to face Brighton in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur were soundly beaten by a resonant Liverpool side who continued their winning start to the season. Spurs are now on the back of three consecutive defeats after giving away a 1-0 lead against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

They return to the Premier League this weekend to take on Brighton and Hove Albion. The Seagulls drew 2-2 and have looked confident in the opening stages of the season. Mauricio Pochettino needs to bring in a positive result to ease the pressure on him.

Team News

Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris are still doubts and might not feature in this game.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Michel Vorm (GK)

Vorm has looked good after replacing Hugo Lloris in goal. Though Tottenham have faced three defeats, things would have gotten a lot worse if not for Vorm.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Trippier was rested for the game against Inter Milan and his absence was felt on the field. He will return for this match.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Vertonghen has been a massive presence at the back for the Lilywhites this season. He will definitely start against the Seagulls.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian has been one of the standout performers for the Lilywhites this season, especially in the win against Manchester United.

Danny Rose (LB)

Rose was left on the bench against Inter Milan and will return in place of Ben Davies for this fixture.

Mousa Dembele (RCM)

Dembele’s tough-tackling and aggressive approach in the middle of the park will be needed to keep the Seagulls at bay.

Eric Dier (LCM)

Dier is yet to hit the stride this season but the midfielder should play alongside Dembele in this game.

Lucas Moura (RAM)

The Brazilian’s pace and trickery were missed against Inter Milan and he will definitely make a start in this game.

Christian Eriksen (CAM)

Eriksen scored his first goal of the season in mid-week and will be aiming to kickstart his season from there.

Son Heung-Min (LAM)

Son’s return has definitely boosted Tottenham’s chances in the league this season. His goals were massive for the club last season.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane has also failed up to live up to his standards this season, but he’s capable of popping up with a goal out of nowhere.
