One Less Transfer Story To Worry About For Arsenal Fans As Target Pens Down New Deal – He Is A Chelsea Target As Well

Share

Chelsea and Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez has signed a new deal at Leicester City and dealt a blow to the hopes of the two London-based clubs of landing the PFA Player of the year.

Both the clubs were heavily linked with a move for Mahrez when reports emerged that the Algeria international has stalled the contract talks. The latest news however, has dented any chance of the Premier League giants signing him. With this new contract extension, Mahrez joins Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan, Kasper Schmeichel and Andy King. All these players have signed a contract extension at Leicester and will try to repeat last seasons heroics by defending the title.

Chelsea have already purchased two players but Conte is said to be keen to add a few more. Arsenal, on the other hand, has been coming under pressure from fans and pundits because of their lack of big name signings.
