Predicted West Ham United Lineup To Face Brighton and Hove Albion

West Ham United will travel to the Falmer Stadium on Saturday to battle Brighton & Hove Albion for 3 points in a high-octane Premier League encounter. Both teams will come into this game on the back of 1-1 draws, making it a must-win match for Chris Hughton as well as David Moyes. After a frenetic transfer window, the Hammers will be looking to get back to winning ways and with the Seagulls being 3 points behind them, Moyes would want his team to capitalise.

Team News

Moyes has no fresh injury concerns with his squad and is expected to field a full-strength team after playing a mid-week game against Crystal Palace. However, they will be without the promising Arthur Masuaku, who has to serve a six-game ban.

Probable West Ham United XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: David Moyes

Adrian (GK)

The goalkeeper has been a constant in goal for West Ham and he is likely to once again handle the shot-stopping responsibilities against Brighton.

Declan Rice (CB)

Rice is developing with every passing game and his display in the second-half against Palace was extremely encouraging, which should see him start here again.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

Ogbonna has been quite an influential figure in the heart of the Hammers defence and he seems to work quite well with Collins. A definite starter.

Angelo Ogbonna

James Collins (CB)

Collins can keep opposition attackers at bay with his well-timed blocks and interceptions and he will once again be needed against an unpredictable Brighton attack.

Aaron Cresswell (LWB)

Although Cresswell’s performance on the left-hand side was a tad bit underwhelming against Palace, he is expected to essay the same role once more as Arthur Masuaku serves his ban.

Sam Byram (RWB)

Byram can surge forward and contribute to the attack while also fulfilling his defensive duties. He often provides energy on the right-hand side.

Pablo Zabaleta (DM)

With the Hammers enduring an injury crisis, Moyes utilised Zabaleta as a defensive midfielder against Palace and it paid off. The former Manchester City star put in a composed performance alongside Mark Noble and that could prompt the manager to put the Argentine’s versatility to the test once more, against Brighton.

Mark Noble (CM)

Noble is one of West Ham’s most crucial players and it becomes more evident as days go by. He can boss the midfield like nobody’s business while make some incisive passes to keep things going. His presence can work wonders and Moyes should hand him a start on Saturday.

Pablo Zabaleta

Cheikhou Kouyate (RW)

Although this is not his preferred position, Kouyate put in a spellbinding performance against Palace. He showed attacking flair and put in an energetic display, making it likely that the player could start in that area once more.

Joao Mario (LW)

The Hammers were crying out for a creative attacker like Mario and their prayers have been answered and how. He can work effortlessly to disrupt defences and he linked well with Javier Hernandez as well. Signing him is definitely a coup and Moyes is expected to start him on Saturday.

Javier Hernandez (CF)

With West Ham hit by a wave of injuries, this is Hernandez’s time to make a name for himself. He seems to work well with Mario in the final third and will be looking to get his name on the scoresheet against Brighton.
