Predicted Leicester City Lineup To Face Swansea City In The Premier League

It’s a tale of two cities on Saturday as Leicester City host Swansea City after being subjected to a 2-1 loss to Everton. The Foxes have improved remarkably under new manager Claude Puel’s tutelage but their recent match against Everton brought a lot of problems to the fore. However, they are in the 8th spot and can aim to move higher if they manage to beat the visitors on Saturday.

Team News

The Foxes do not have any fresh injury concerns and at present, Wes Morgan is the only one likely to miss out. However, Riyad Mahrez is expected to return after sitting out the game against Everton.

Probable Leicester City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claude Puel

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The first-choice keeper has been quite rock-solid in front of the goal for the Foxes throughout the season and Puel will turn to him to take up his usual role against Swansea.

Daniel Amartey (RB)

Amartey’s displays on the right-hand side often lead to a lot of activity and he does a solid job at defending, thus making it likely for him to start against Swansea.

Aleksandar Dragovic (CB)

Dragovic worked quite hard at preventing Everton from scoring the third goal and he can be quite stoic when needed. To ensure Leicester seal a win, he will have to be at his best to keep an unpredictable Swansea side at bay.

Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire (CB)

On any given occasion, Maguire is crucial to Leicester’s defence but he did make a couple of silly errors against Everton. However, Puel should start him against Swansea, hoping that he does a lot better.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

The 21-year-old has risen up to face his responsibilities admirably well and he should start on Saturday. He provides a nice burst of energy on the left-hand side but unlike in the game against Everton, Chilwell will have to focus on his defensive duties.

Wilfred Ndidi (DM)

Ndidi’s been one of the most influential players in the midfield for Leicester throughout the season and Puel is likely to deploy him in his usual role on Saturday.

Vincente Iborra (DM)

Iborra and Ndidi have worked quite well together and after playing Matty James against Everton, Puel is expected to revert to Iborra.

Marc Albrighton (LW)

After playing on the right-hand side in the previous game, Albrighton should return to his usual role and it will be important for him to use his creative skills and rip apart a seemingly sturdy Swansea defence.

Shinji Okazaki

Shinji Okazaki (AM)

Okazaki has shown plenty of encouraging signs this season and the player is expected to start against Swansea.

Riyad Mahrez (RW)

After a lot of deadline day drama, Mahrez is likely to be back on the right-hand side of the attack and provide some much-needed bite to the Leicester front line.

Jamie Vardy (CF)

Vardy clearly missed Mahrez against Everton but with the Algerian expected to be back on Saturday, the striker will be looking to make up for lost time and get his name on the score sheet.
