After what has been a disappointing 2017/18 campaign, Chelsea will be hoping to end it on a high by winning the FA Cup when they take on Manchester United in the finals this Saturday.
The Blues started off the season as reigning Premier League champions but couldn’t muster up a strong defence of their title and eventually finished fifth in the table, missing out on Champions League qualification as well. Manager Antonio Conte will want to deliver another trophy to the club in what could turn out to be his last game in charge of the Blues, given the speculations surrounding his future.
While Willy Caballero has been used by Conte for the cup ties, Chelsea’s No.1 goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois should get the nod between the sticks here.
The Spaniard has been a steady influence at the back for large parts of the campaign and will be hoping to put in another solid performance in the finals.
The academy graduate endured a difficult game last week when the Blues were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United. Needs to bounce back in a big way.
The German international has improved gradually over the course of the season and will want to end his debut campaign in England on a high.
The right wing-back slot should once again be taken up by Victor Moses, who will be tasked with providing the width when going forward.
The French midfield mainstay has been one of the better players for Chelsea over the course of the campaign. Will once again be key in stifling United.
The Spaniard’s range of passing, ability to unlock defences with some pinpoint through balls and his experience will come in very handy for the Blues on Saturday.
The former Fiorentina man is a key player for the West London outfit, with his ability to create chances and score goals as well. Will start as the left-sided wing-back.
The Brazilian was on the scoresheet when the two teams played each other last time out. Will be hoping to have a similar impact at the Wembley.
The Belgian wing wizard will without a question be Chelsea’s biggest asset going forward. Will hold the key to the Blues coming out on top on Saturday.
The former Arsenal man has been impressive since switching to West London in January, scoring 5 goals and registering 3 assists so far. His strength and physicality will pose a threat to the United defence.
