Miller And Morelos To Lead The Line – Predicted 4-4-2 Rangers Line-up For The Game Against Hamilton

Predicted Rangers Line-up To Face Hamilton Academical In The Scottish Premiership

The international break should have given Rangers players the time to recover and re-start their progress under Graeme Murty after a fine win at Hearts was followed up with a home success here two weeks ago.

Lee Wallace is a long-term absentee while Graham Dorrans is still out with the knee injury which has seen him miss the last four games. Assuming Murty is happy to continue with a 4-4-2 formation, then his line-up may well be unchanged from the one which beat Partick Thistle comfortably at Ibrox last time out:

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Graeme Murty

GK – Wes Foderingham

The no.1 stopper tends to do nothing spectacular but has been a solid ‘keeper in his time at the club and yet another start seems guaranteed.

RB – James Tavernier

A major part of his game in the lower divisions was his ability to find the net from this position, but just 2 league goals in 48 Premiership games says his game needs to adapt.

James Tavernier

CB – Ross McCrorie

The young centre-back has stepped into Bruno Alves’ shoes without any major fuss and looks a real find for the club, with him even managing a goal last time.

CB – Danny Wilson

Although defensive reinforcements will no doubt be sought over the winter, Wilson is in his second spell with the club now and owes them very little.

LB – Declan John

In many ways, Lee Wallace is a big miss. However, still having his presence around the club while John does his thing at left-back means Rangers have kind of had the best of both worlds.

RM – Daniel Candeias

Looks to be a survivor of the Pedro Caixinha reign and is still going well out on the wing.

Ryan Jack

CM – Ryan Jack

The former Aberdeen captain may yet be reunited with Derek McInnes but for now, he is going along nicely in the Rangers midfield under the tutelage of Murty.

CM – Jason Holt

A very able deputy for Graham Dorrans and was a regular in this position last season. Should start.

LM – Josh Windass

The Englishman has really found his feet in this Rangers set-up and is eventually adding goals to his good all-round game.

Alfredo Morelos

ST – Kenny Miller

It’s perhaps no surprise that he has waltzed back into the team following Caixinha’s exit and scored goals immediately, starring at Hearts and putting in another good shift last time against Partick.

ST – Alfredo Morelos

Given his difficulties in adjusting, he has been a real star by scoring 6 goals in 12 league games so far and can add to his tally here.
