Lucas Perez To Start – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Arsenal Line Up To Face Ludogorets

Share

After a hard fought victory over Swansea at the weekend, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal will welcome FK Ludogorets this midweek in the Champions League group stage encounter. These two teams have a vast difference in quality on paper but there is every chance that the visitors can shock the Gunners on the night. Arsene Wenger will know as much and will surely have his best side playing this game in Europe’s elite competition. They are in sublime form at the moment, posting their 6th consecutive victory in the league recently and will hope to make light work of their Bulgarian opponents. Here is the predicted lineup Wenger might field to face Ludogorets:

Team News:

Wenger will be happy that his team did not pick up any new injuries recently. Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud remain injury concerns for the manager while Aaron Ramsey, who is back in training might play some role in this game. The likes of Francis Coquelin and Gabriel are also back in action for this game. Granit Xhaka’s red card will not extend to Europe and he is also expected to start this game.

David Ospina:

The undisputed number 1 for Arsenal in the Champions League games is the Colombian shot-stopper. He should replace Petr Cech in the starting line up.

Hector Bellerin:

Yet another impressive performance in the league from the Spaniard who is growing into one of the best players in his position. He will keep his place for this game.

Laurent Koscielny:

The French international is in the form of his life and has been really great for some time now. He will be the biggest problem for the visitors if they are to take anything from this game.

Shkodran Mustafi:

Mustafi has adjusted to the Premier League with ease and though he has been nervy at times, he has shown great confidence under pressure and should start this game.

Nacho Monreal:

Lack of options at left-back will see Arsene Wenger stick with Monreal for this game in the Champions League.

Granit Xhaka:

Reckless in the game against Swansea to pick a red and with no domestic game for a month, he should be pumped up for this UCL encounter.

Santo Cazorla:

The Spaniard has finally been able to put in some consistent performances for his side and he is expected to keep his place in the side for this game.

Theo Walcott:

Walcott was once again unplayable on the night against Swansea where he picked up a brace and he will hope to have a similar effect on this game against Ludogorets.

Mesut Ozil:

The German got the winner against Swansea and will be high on confidence going into this game on Wednesday. He will have to be at his best to give Arsenal an easy victory.

Alexis Sanchez:

The Chilean has been extraordinary this season in a striker role but he might be used as a winger from the left, his favorite position for this game against Ludogorets.

Lucas Perez:

Though he has not been able to impact the game like Wenger would want him to, Perez has a bit of European experience and is the right man to lead the side in this game.
