Leeds United News: Leeds United loanee Mallik Wilks has been in sensational form for Doncaster Rovers this season.
The 20-year-old was loaned from the Whites to the EFL league side, prior to this season.
The English forward has been a revelation for the Rovers this season, bagging 15 goals and 4 assists across all competitions.
In fact, Wilks scored in the first three games for the club and was awarded man of the match in those games.
Notably, he scored a brace against Bristol and he received plaudits for his cameo against Preston North End.
The former Accrington Stanley loanee has once won the Sky Bet League One player of the week award.
He signed a contract extension with the Whites earlier this year, which will keep him at the club until 2023.
Wilks will return to Elland Road at the end of the season.
The Whites were handed with a hammer blow after suffering two straight defeats in the crucial stages of the Championship.
And furthermore, their automatic promotion hopes look uncertain, as they trail Sheffield United by 3 points in the third position of the table.
The major concern for Marcelo Bielsa proved to be their lack of attacking prowess.
Though the Whites are full of quality forwards like Patrick Bamford, Kemar Roofe, and Jack Clarke, they have failed to work in unison at times.
With all of them being injury prone, their consistency gets hindered, which inflicts heavily on the team’s end result.
LUFC need a promising talent to strengthen their attack and Wilks looks like a promising option.
The Whites can afford the services of Wilks, who is currently in great shape.
Apart from being a striker, the English midfielder is efficient on the wings as well, which signifies his versatility.
