Jose Mourinho Sarcastically Taunt Arsene Wenger Yet Again

Share

Arsenal may have won the FA Cup and picked up a silverware this season, but the war of words between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger haven’t quite ended. Although Arsene Wenger was under severe criticism from the media and the fans for running the club for almost 9 years without a trophy, Jose Mourinho famously branded Arsene Wenger as a “specialist in failure” earlier this season.

Ironically, Wenger has gone on to win the FA Cup while Jose Mourinho has failed to land any silverware for the second season running. However, Mourinho in his latest statement has made a sarcastic jibe at his counterpart failing to give the credit that Wenger deserves.

“No. In the last nine years, Arsenal won an FA Cup. That is nice for them,” Mourinho said when asked about Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Hull City.

We have an interesting season ahead of us with Mourinho and Wenger set to build their squads. It is said that Wenger will be given as much as £100 million to re-build the squad while Mourinho is set to bring Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.

Apart from the Wenger-Mourinho rivalry, the appointment of Louis Van Gaal as Manchester United manager means that the rivalry between the top 4 teams will hit a new level next season.
