Manchester United opinion: Manchester United vs Leicester City – Predicted XI

Manchester United have had a very lukewarm start to the season and after allowing some time for their new signings to settle in, they now head into some tricky fixtures. The real test starts now and the results in the upcoming games would end up defining how much of the season goes.

They start against a rejuvenated Leicester City side and if they can get this victory at Old Trafford, they’ll have good momentum.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

United simply have to win this game and will have to play a team that can win at all costs.

Team News

Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were called up to the national squad but both players had to go back and should be fit for the game.

Dalot, Shaw, Bailly and Martial are likely going to miss out for a while as well. Pogba was limping after the game against Southampton but he didn’t join up with the national team and is a very fit player, who will be crucial in the game on the weekend.

Predicted XI

Manager – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David De Gea – Goalkeeper

The Spaniard hasn’t been at his best and will be hoping he can just take the errors away from his game as United need him to be the best in his position in the world again.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Right-back

He has been outstanding since he’s joined the club and looks like a bargain at his age.

Victor Lindelof – Centre-back

The Swede was fantastic against Chelsea but he has unfairly been criticized as the opposition have been very clinical and he’s often been at the end of the goals that they’ve conceded.

Harry Maguire – Centre-back

He’s been under a lot of pressure but he’s been very good since his move and will be hoping he can win against his former side.

Ashley Young – Left-back

Young has been a lot better on the left-flank and United haven’t really missed Luke Shaw.

Nemanja Matic – Holding midfield

The Serbian brought some calmness and possession retention will be massive in a game against Leicester, who are good at keeping the ball themselves.

Scott McTominay – Central midfield

The United graduate has been the best midfielder so far, doing pretty much everything in the park and will have to be the ball-winner.

Paul Pogba – Central midfield

It’s best if Pogba moves back into his advanced position, where he can create and get into goalscoring positions.

Daniel James – Left-wing

The Welshman has been devastating on the left and his ability to go on the inside and on the outside has caused defenders all sorts of problems.

Marcus Rashford – Centre-forward

Harshly criticized recently, the 21-year-old has already got 3 goal contributions so far and will be hoping he can continue improving.

Mason Greenwood – Right-wing

The 17-year-old is all potential but Andreas Pereira has been awful and that almost forces Greenwood into the side.
