Predicted Tottenham Hotspur line-up to face Chelsea in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur were not at their best against Crystal Palace last weekend but still managed to come away with three points. Spurs have made their best start to a Premier League campaign under Mauricio Pochettino this season and will be aiming for silverware this season.

Tottenham will definitely be wary of a number of threats when Chelsea visit the Wembley stadium this weekend. The Blues are unbeaten under Maurizio Sarri this season and are one of the main contenders for the title.

Team News

Both Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen are out injured for this game. Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier are also unavailable due to injury. Spurs will have to make do with their current crop of players.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The Frenchman has looked better in the last few weeks and needs to maintain consistency in his game.

Hugo Lloris

Ben Davies (LB)

Davies will continue to maraud down the left flank and feed the Spurs attackers with quality balls.

Juan Foyth (CB)

The 20-year-old scored his first Premier League goal against Crystal Palace last time out and will be aiming to build on that with strong defensive showings.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld has been in superb form for the Lilywhites this season and with Vertonghen out, he needs to lead them from the back.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Aurier defended well after coming on as a substitute in the last game. He will start this one in place of Kieran Trippier.

Moussa Sissoko (RCM)

Sissoko will sit in central midfield and dictate the play for the Lilywhites. He has been a renewed player since the start of the season.

Victor Wanyama (LCM)

Wanyama hasn’t looked at his best but has come through for Spurs whenever called upon. He should partner Sissoko in central midfield.

Lucas Moura (RAM)

Moura will attack through the right flank and trouble Chelsea with his pace and trickery.

Christian Eriksen (CAM)

Eriksen should start this game in central attacking midfield after sitting out the last one against Palace.

Dele Alli (LAM)

Alli hasn’t hit top form yet this season. But the English midfielder does like to turn up for the big occasions.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane has struggled to score freely so far, but the England captain has scored more goals than any striker in London derbies.
