Everton vs Crystal Palace predictions: Everton line-up

Everton pulled off an absolutely incredible result against Manchester United, beating the Red Devils 4-0. Goals from Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Theo Walcott and Lucas Digne did the trick and they’ll have to continue the trend.

The Toffees have a chance of finishing in seventh place and a win over Crystal Palace will push them past Wolves and Watford. This is a must-win game for Marco Silva and their current form backs him. Moreover, Crystal Palace have been very inconsistent of late.

They have just three wins in their last five games, beating Arsenal and Newcastle United but losing to both Manchester City and Tottenham. This does give Everton a chance but they’ll have to be at their best.

Team News

Andre Gomes will miss the next three games and will only return on the final day of the season against Tottenham (BBC). Yerry Mina is injured and will possibly miss the remainder of the season.

Lucas Digne and Richarlison are also out with injuries but the Frenchman might be able to make the final squad.

Probable Everton XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marco Silva

Jordan Pickford (GK)

He is their first-choice and barring some injury, the England number one should start.

Seamus Coleman (RB)

The Irishman has done well for the club recently and should keep his place in Silva’s starting eleven.

Michael Keane (CB)

The 26-year-old has played a large majority of the season for Everton and has missed just five games this season.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

He has been a consistent figure for the Toffees and should be among the first names on the team-sheet.

Lucas Digne (LB)

The Frenchman is now the club’s number one left-back and should make the cut despite an injury.

Morgan Schneiderlin (CM)

With Gomes still banned, the former Manchester United man did well against his former side and should keep his place.

Idrissa Gueye (CM)

The first name on the teamsheet, the 29-year-old has been brilliant in the middle of the park and will start.

Theo Walcott (RW)

With Richarlison injured, the former Arsenal man should make the starting eleven after a great performance off the bench against Manchester United.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)

The Icelander was downright incredible against Manchester United, running the show for Everton. This is why they paid a big fee and if he keeps performing like this, they have a chance of finishing in the top seven.

Bernard (LW)

A workhorse, the Brazilian does his fair share defensively for the club but with Richarlison injured, he’ll have to do his share offensively.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (ST)

Another hard worker for the team, the 22-year-old needs to step up his game and start finding the net more.

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
