Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Norwich City in the Championship

Leeds United currently sit comfortably at the top of the EFL Championship table with Norwich City edging closer with every passing week of football action.

Having beaten Roterham United, thanks to two goals by Mateusz Klich, Leeds will be hoping to beat title rivals Norwich in what promises to be a thrilling encounter which could go a long way in deciding the fates of either side.

With Norwich just 3 points behind Leeds at this point, a Leeds win would see them create some daylight between themselves and the chasing pack, which is bound to ease the immense pressure on Marcelo Bielsa.

Team News

Striker Patrick Bamford has recently returned to training following his knee injury and could make the bench for this outing. Goalkeeper Jamal Blackman also remains in the sidelines with shin troubles.

Gaetano Berardi is unavailable for selection, while Stuart Dallas’ ankle injury means he is unable to return to training at least until the end of March.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

GK – Kiko Casilla

The former Real Madrid veteran has multiple Champions League winners medals under his belt and will replace Peacock-Farrell as the first choice.

RB – Luke Ayling

Ayling has made 21 appearances this season and will play against Norwich. A sure starter.

RCB – Pontus Jansson

The big Swede has been their best player this season by a massive margin and since he’s returning from a suspension, he is expected to return to the starting XI for this game.

LCB – Liam Cooper

Having formed a brick wall alongside defensive partner Jansson, Cooper has also been consistently impressive this term.

LB – Ezgjan Alioski

The converted winger has started all 29 league games for the Whites this season and is expected to start at left-back.

CDM – Adam Forshaw

Leeds United’s anchor in the midfield, he is responsible for ensuring that they’re able to keep the ball moving from side to side.

RM – Jack Clarke

Expect the extremely talented youngster to start on the right-hand side of the midfield.

RCM – Pablo Hernandez

The former Swansea City man has Premier League experience and can make a huge difference in how this result pans out.

LCM – Mateusz Klich

Scored both the goals in Leeds’ away win at Rotherham and has been consistent for them this season. Expect the Polish midfielder to start this key clash.

LM – Jack Harrison

Another young player touted for big things, Harrison has scored 2 goals for Leeds this season and should keep his place on the left flank.

ST – Kemar Roofe

Leeds’ top scorer this campaign, Roofe has been in exceptional form right from game one and will be crucial in determining who gets the win in this fixture.
