Predicted Crystal Palace line-up to face Arsenal in the Premier League

Crystal Palace will host an in-form Arsenal side at Selhurst Park on Sunday as Roy Hodgson looks to bounce back from the Everton defeat.

The Eagles lost 2-0 at Everton that has left them two points above the relegation zone and Hodgson needs to find a cure for the lack of goals.

Crystal Palace will aim to bounce back against Arsenal, who are in a brilliant run of form. They flexed their muscles by beating Leicester City 3-1 on Monday.

Team News

Max Meyer and Alexander Sorloth could be back for the game after missing the Everton clash with a virus.

Joel Ward and Jonny Williams could miss the Arsenal match with a muscle injury and a knock respectively. Meanwhile, Christian Benteke continues to remain sidelined.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Wayne Hennessey (GK)

One of the most underrated goalkeepers in the Premier League, Hennessey has been a reliable presence in goal for Palace and should start the weekend game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

Wan-Bissaka has impressed a lot with his displays on the right this season, keeping the experienced Joel Ward out of the picture.

James Tomkins (CB)

Strong in the tackle and powerful in the air, Tomkins has to be at the top of his game if Palace are to get a positive result against the Gunners.

Mamadou Sakho (CB)

Sakho could be in a for a big test on Sunday afternoon. He has to keep the Arsenal attackers at bay to give Palace some hope of a win.

Patrick van Aanholt (LB)

Van Aanholt is an aggressive left-back who gives width to the team. He is a wonderful crosser of the ball and chips in with the odd goal as well.

James McArthur (RW)

Not his favoured position but McArthur could do a good job. His work ethic is extraordinary and is adept at breaking the opposition’s play.

Luka Milivojevic (CM)

Milivojevic will look to redeem himself against Arsenal after missing a penalty last weekend.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM)

Kouyate adds a lot of physicality to the side with his presence in the middle of the park. A sure starter.

Jeffrey Schlupp (LW)

A pacy and direct player, Schlupp could be a thorn for the Arsenal defence on Sunday.

Wilfried Zaha (LS)

Palace’s chief source of goals, Zaha has to shine at the weekend if Palace are to break Arsenal’s winning run in the Premier League.

Andros Townsend (RS)

Partnering Zaha up top should be Townsend, who will look to add energy and creativity to Palace’s blunt attack.
