Predicted West Ham line-up to face Leicester City in the Premier League

West Ham face a trip to the King Power Stadium as they face Leicester City on Saturday in the Premier League.

The Hammers’ mini-revival have hit the buffers after back-to-back defeats to Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur. Manuel Pellegrini will hope his side put in a better display on Saturday and bounce back to winning ways.

Leicester City, meanwhile, come into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

Team News

Andriy Yarmolenko will be out of action for six months after undergoing a surgery for his Achilles injury. Jack Wilshere has suffered a setback following his ankle surgery, while Carlos Sanchez has suffered a serious knee injury.

Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid are long-term absentees, while Andy Carroll won’t be back for a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, Pedro Obiang could miss the Leicester game with a calf strain.

Probable West Ham XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Manuel Pellegrini

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

Fabianski has proven to be fantastic for the Hammers. He is one of the first names on the team sheet.

Pablo Zabaleta (RB)

Zabaleta has looked full of energy of late. An experienced player, he is a certain starter against Leicester.

Fabian Balbuena (CB)

Balbuena is slowly getting accustomed to the Premier League. He will look to keep the Leicester attackers at bay on Saturday.

Issa Diop (CB)

Diop is proving his worth with some confident displays at the back. He and Balbuena are slowly starting to form a formidable centre-back pairing.

Aaron Cresswell (LB)

Cresswell has blown hot and cold whenever he has played this season. He needs to put in a string of impressive displays to make the left-back spot his own.

Declan Rice (CDM)

Declan Rice has been lauded for his performances so far in the Premier League but will face a tough task of containing Leicester’s promising playmaker, James Maddison.

Mark Noble (RCM)

After a poor start to the season, Noble has looked good recently and will look to continue his form against Leicester.

Robert Snodgrass (LCM)

Snodgrass is an intelligent player, proficient at picking up pockets of spaces to create openings for his teammates. He would add a different dimension to West Ham’s play from the midfield.

Felipe Anderson (LW)

Anderson has looked out of sorts in the last two games but he is West Ham’s most potent weapon and must start this game.

Michail Antonio (RW)

With his blistering pace and power, Antonio could give Leicester defenders a tough time on Saturday.

Marko Arnautovic (ST)

With four goals and an assist in eight league games, Arnautovic is West Ham’s chief source of goals. Pellegrini will hope his team’s talisman delivers the goods against the Foxes.
